The Purple Elephant Project

A modern WordPress website that is easier to manage, connects the charity’s existing systems and continues to develop through ongoing Website Management.

The starting point

A trusted charity needed a website that felt as current as its work.

The Purple Elephant Project supports children and families through therapeutic services. Its previous website had become visually dated and difficult to manage, making routine updates harder than they needed to be.

The replacement needed to follow the charity’s established brand guidelines, communicate its work with warmth and clarity, and connect with the specialist systems the team already used behind the scenes.

The solution

A clearer WordPress site connected to the charity’s wider digital tools.

01

Brand-led WordPress rebuild

A responsive WordPress website replaced the outdated design while following the charity’s visual identity and making ongoing content changes more manageable.

02

Lamplight referral forms

Referral forms from the charity-focused Lamplight CRM are embedded into the website, keeping enquiries connected to the team’s existing workflow.

03

Beacon donation integration

Beacon donation forms are integrated into the site so supporters can give through the charity’s chosen platform without the website creating another system to manage.

04

AI-assisted visitor support

An AI chat box helps visitors find answers to straightforward questions while directing more sensitive or specific enquiries towards the charity’s team.

Connected systems

The website works with the tools the charity already relies on.

Rather than forcing referrals and donations into WordPress, the website provides a consistent public experience while Lamplight and Beacon continue handling the specialist administration behind it.

That approach reduces duplicate systems, keeps important data in the appropriate platforms and gives visitors a more joined-up route through the charity’s services.

Lamplight + BeaconReferrals and donations remain connected to the systems chosen by the charity, while the website brings the journeys together.
Website Management

The launch was the beginning of the working relationship.

The Purple Elephant Project uses my Website Management service, so I continue to maintain the website and make changes whenever the team sends new content or feature requests.

Hosting oversight, software updates, troubleshooting and ongoing development are handled in one place, giving the charity a familiar person to contact as its needs change.

Currently in development

A focused web app designed around therapists’ real sessions.

I am currently developing a custom web application for therapists to use during their sessions, replacing a spreadsheet-based process that takes time to maintain and is difficult to use consistently.

The aim is to make session administration clearer and faster, reducing repetitive work and giving the team more time to focus on children and families. AI-assisted development is helping keep the build efficient and achievable for the charity.

Replace spreadsheetsMove a fragile manual process into a purpose-built tool.
Give time backReduce repetitive administration during and after sessions.
The result

A digital foundation that can keep evolving with the charity.

The Purple Elephant Project now has a contemporary, manageable website that respects its brand, connects its existing referral and donation platforms, and provides helpful routes for visitors.

Ongoing Website Management means the site is not left standing still. New content, requested features and the developing therapist application can all be approached as part of a continuing digital partnership.
